AICPE — the Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery — is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Health and listed among the Italian scientific societies (Law 24/2017). It is twinned with leading aesthetic plastic surgery societies worldwide, including the American (ASAPS), the international (ISAPS), the European (EASAPS) and the French (SOFCEP) societies.
Training
My training in intimate and gender-affirming surgery comes from 12 years of hands-on experience alongside Prof. Renato Marten Perolino — a urologist and plastic surgeon who was the first to take me under his wing, in a mentorship that went far beyond technical assistance. We worked together at Villa Maria Pia Hospital and, in private practice, at Clinica Fornaca and Clinica Cellini in Turin.
He taught me male-to-female gender-affirming surgery, passing on not only the technique but the rigour and sensitivity needed for surgical journeys so delicate and so life-changing.
During those years, Prof. Perolino entrusted me — as lead surgeon — with implant breast augmentation for all of his patients undergoing gender transition: a responsibility given to me only after I had demonstrated the necessary competence, and a fundamental part of my surgical growth in this field.
I then completed my training internationally with Prof. José Guerrero Santos in Guadalajara, Mexico, and with Prof. Andrew A. Jacono in New York, where I learned the Deep Plane facelift technique.
Besides functional and aesthetic intimate medicine and surgery, for both women and men, I perform Deep Plane facelifts, blepharoplasty, liposculpture and fat grafting, breast surgery and body contouring.
Why intimate medicine and surgery
I chose to specialise in a little-known chapter of plastic surgery because I have seen, up close, how much it can change people's lives when it is approached with competence, discretion and without judgement. It touches very personal matters — sometimes marked by discomfort, social or cultural pressure, or simply by not knowing that a solution exists. Informing, even before operating, is the first step towards truly helping.
